Aslihan Usumez

Prof. Dr. Aslihan Usumez graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. She completed her PhD education at the Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Selcuk University, where she began her doctoral studies in 1997 and completed them in 2001.

She was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2003, promoted to Associate Professor in 2005, and awarded the title of Professor in 2010. In 2008, she received the “Young Scientist Award” presented by the Turkish Dental Association.

In 2012, she completed a master’s degree in “Laser Dentistry” at RWTH Aachen University. She currently serves as an Associate Editor of the journal Lasers in Dental Science.

She has authored more than 100 scientific articles published in national and international journals, served as translation editor for two books, contributed chapters to two different books, and received oral presentation, poster, and travel grant awards at various international congresses.

She delivers courses on “Laser Applications in Dentistry,” “Smile Design and Porcelain Laminate Veneers,” and “Implant-Supported Prostheses.”

She is married and the mother of two children.
